diff between linux and unix

The next time you post, please be sure and have searched Google first as you will be pointed there again if you haven't.
Also, please be sure and spell out your words. "diff" should be Different. This is not an SMS Texting environment and is
NOT limited to 160 characters. So, your question should be phrased properly. i.e.: What is the difference between Linux and Unix?
