How to automatically load software when linux starts up.

6
Hi,

I have written a GUI application that I want to automatically run on a Linux system (Fedora Core 6) upon powerup. I've created a script which runs correctly and have added a run script using chkconfig for the appropriate run levels. However, when I reboot, my application is not automatically loaded. Any help will be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Aaron

If you don't get the rcds at each levels right why dont you look at adding you application initialization command or script to /etc/rc.local.Anything you put there will be executed after starting all the other services available on your Fedora.
Hope that helps
