BOURNE SHELL -Evaluating a file list

Hi ,

Has any one any idea how i can achieve the following where i want to check which ?.pid i am evaluating .

What I have is - but it keeps deafulting to error message" unkown process"

Anyone have any ideas ???

$HOME/dir/log/axyyy.pid
$HOME/dir/log/b.pid

FILELIST = `find $HOME/dir/log -name "*.pid" -print`
case $FILELIST in
"$HOME/dir/log/a*.pid")
echo "$HOME/dir/log/a*.pid"

break;;

"$HOME/dir/log/b.pid")
echo "$HOME/dir/log/b.pid"
break;;
echo "Unknown process $FILELIST";

Your script doesn't really seem useful right now, could you explain what you are trying to do? We may be able to give you a cleaner way of accomplishing your task.
