Reading registries

Hi

I want to read the registry info on linux. Can any one help me?.

I was under the impression that Linux did not have a central registry, but would only mimick the behavior of a registry for certain programs that needed it. I could be wrong, though...

What, exactly, are you trying to accomplish by "reading the registry"?

The only time there will be a registry on Linux is if you have Wine installed. If this is not the case, it would help your cause to better explain what you are trying to accomplish.
