how to setup Linux OS on Server..?

any body can tell me step by step how to setup Linux OS on Server..? what is the best version to use...?

Just look at the documentation page of any Linux distribution you are using and it should tell you everything you need to know. Also, Google is your friend.

An OS is an OS and what you call the hardware you install it on doesn't matter that much, though there may be some settings to optimize it for server software but the OS itself is not a server by itself.

As Dr.howard states above.. an OS is an OS.... go check out http://www.distrowatch.com there you can get a really good overview as to what each Linux Distro is made to do ... Pick the one that will work best for you and download.
