Installation failure of jwsdp-2.0

Hello,

I am trying to install jwsdp-2.0 on a CentOS 4 computer with jdk 1.5.0_11 installed on it. I want to install it without container via remote acces using a console. The problem is that after the question about the installation directory, the installation program ends without any error or notification. I tried to install version 1.6 of jwsdp, but the with the same result. Does anybody know what might go wrong? Thanks a lot in advance.

Are you using a 32 or 64 bit?

The 64 bit has a bug in it making it difficult to install.

I am not sure how to check that, but I thought it was a 32 bits processor. It doesn't seem at all to be an error, since no error message is given, the installation program just exits.

I have been trying to install jwsdp 2.0 on Redhat Enterprise Taroon Update 6. I have j2sdk1.4.2_12.

I extracted the jar componet from the installation script with the command:
tail -n +368 jwsdp-2_0-unix.sh > jwsdp.jar

Then ran the command
java -jar jwsdp.jar.

The InstallShield display did appear but it reported bean67 exceptions. What is bean67.

Why is this application so difficult to install.

Here is an update to my previous post.

After the commands:
tail -n +368 jwsdp-2_0-unix.sh > jwsdp.jar
java -jar jwsdp.jar

In the same terminal window I get the message:
The product bean "bean67" could not be loaded because the following exception occurred :
java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError:
com/sun/jwsdp/installer/RestoreJarFilesAction
(Unsupported major.minor version 49.0)

I also get the InstallShield GUI with the above message. I can hit Next. The next screen is the license agreement. After accepting and hitting Next, I get a GUI with the above message. I hit the Next button, the GUI crashes.

Any help would be greatful.
