Is DHTML still relevant?

P: 1
Hello, I noticed a web design course at my community college and it includes "html, dhtml, and javascript."

I've been researching front end development online, and this is the first time I've seen dhtml included. Is dhtml still relevant/used/worth learning or is it outdated?

I've also read that it's still used but not always called dhtml.

well DHTML is just a term used to describe that HTML is modified by JavaScript during the page's runtime. Its a bit an outdated term that did focus on DOM-scripting with JavaScript when it wasn't such a common thing like it is now. So basically what is (and always was only) relevant in this context is HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Any other terms like DHTML, AJAX and such are just terms that are/were used for things in that ecosystem of HTML-CSS-JavaScript.
