Solartoys,

You will need to provide more information for us in order for us to help you. We have no idea how your database is structured and we do not know exactly what you are trying to do.

What have you tried so far? Have you encountered any errors? Are your efforts just not producing the results you desire?

Thanks!

Thank you for the reply. It will be a public form. I expect to have about 1 million separate company records in the access database. I have written html and javascript since 1996. I have written cobol and acucobol since 1970. The form will be used to enter company info from 1 user and make it available to all users. I have created a practice database and am able to display it in a web page. Ideally, the user will select one of the records to display. Thanks...

Not sure how you're using JavaScript to display database info on a webpage... You need to use a server side language for that, not a client side language. What you have probably won't run on a computer outside your network or on another computer depending on where you put that database

It is a sample database with 4 records displayed using html.

Definitely not sure how you're using HTML to access the database, HTML doesn't have scripting ability to access a database. Like Twinnyfo said, you need to provide a lot more information.

More than likely, you're going to have to pick and learn a server side scripting language.

I am learning SQL as we speak. Thanks for your time! bob

SQL isn't a server side scripting language, you're going to need to learn something like php or asp.net

Souynds like SolarToys is an old-timer Rabbit, though they say they have experience in JavaScript. Wouldn't that handle server-side scripting?

Not sure where "Bob" came from. Perhaps Rabbit to Robert? Almost a homonym if your ears aren't good.

I have been writing web pages since 1996 and coding cobol and acucobol
since 1970. Bob came from Payson, az. and solartoys is my email address...got it/ get it!

I suppose you can use JavaScript as server side but you would need to install node.js. historically JavaScript had been client side only, node.js is relatively new

Lucky I hit on that then - in my almost complete ignorance.

I would guess this would be the easiest way forward for SolarToys. Not that I can help in any way of course.

@SolarToys.
Sorry but the Bob explanation was entirely lost on me. I see no connection between Rabbit and Payson Arizona. Maybe I'm missing something obvious :-(

Good luck with this project BTW :-)
