Passing Value from Pop Up Window to Parent Page without reloading the parent page e.g

I'm trying to upload attachments in a Pop Up window and want the parent page to show the names of files in sent in temp folder without reloading the entire parent page.

in JavaScript, you have access to the parent window via window.parent.

Thanks for reply, Can you please explain a bit in detail how I can use window.parent to show file names from pop window in parent window when is close the pop up, the entire parent page should not refresh or data is not lost.

the other way round. since the action happens in the child window, you have to propagate the changes to the parent window.

hm, maybe window.postMessage() could be another valid way.
