replace subsring from form-input with another

hello,

i want to fill a MySQL Table with the string, submitted in a form.
before my action page receives the value, i want to replace all of my ä, ö,
ü with, lets say ä ö and ü

is there any function, fired with onSubmit doing that for me?

Thanks for any help,

Hello

You can write your own onSubmit() handler and attach it to your desired
form.

However it is better to do server checks/string replacements.

Only in your self-programmed user agent.

That piece of code is called "event listener" which
an intrinsic event handler property can point to.
