tutorial javascript games or images

I am looking for SHORT javascript programs for games, cellular
automata, graphics, fractals, etc. for tutorial use.

They should be

1. short (preferably no more than a screenful) so one can quickly
understand them
2. produce pleasing output for motivational purposes

There is a ton of javascript resources out there but that's my
problem -- there is so much that its hard to separate out what
I am looking for.

For an example of the sort of thing I am looking for, see the
following which generates the mandelbrot set in roughly a
screenful of javascript code.

Thanks.

You might do better by trying to find specific scripts instead of asking
for a generic list. And please don't make the mistake of comparing the
length of a script to its quality as they are unrelated. There are just
as many, if not more, inefficient short scripts are there are long ones.

I would prefer a 100 line efficient script to a 20 line inefficient one.

There is the initial couple of chapters of the JSChess application which
can be reached via http://www.greggriffiths.org/books/. I know that more
functionality is coming, so drop the site owner an email to find out
more.

Thanks. That's just the sort of thing I was looking for.
