Do you realize that you are not posting to a webiste forum when you use
this site.
They are passing your posts on to the usenet newsgroup comp.lang.javascript

comp.lang.javascript is a publicly available newsgroup.

The website you are using is stealing its content directly from there
and pretending that it is their own. There is no original material at
all on the website you are looking at now. It is all coming directly
from usenet.

I suggest you obtain a newsreader and visit us at
news:comp.lang.javascript - you will get a far better reaction to your
question there.

And who can prevent:
"This is a friendly notification that someone has just replied to your
newsgroup message ..." send to my e-mail (!) from developersdex.com !

In my country it's illegal to send commercial messages such as those without
my permission. I did never ask for such e-mail, when I want to know if there
is a reaction I'll read the group!
Who knows how to stop them doing such thing (police / abuse complaint to
their IP distribitor or domain provider?)

I have gotten those before. I believe there is a link in the email to
get off there "notification" listing so that you don't recieve them
anymore but its been a while since I got one so I don't remember for sure.

Usually it's not smart to use such link..
Even if it works in this case; what will happen if I change e-mail..

I don't like to click such link everytime I change e-mail and post something
in a newsgroup..
What if there is an other company that thinks providing such 'service' is
nice and starts sending e-mail too..

There must be a way to stop them doing that..
They must only send those things to people who subscribe and ask for such
'sevice'.

There is nothing that says you must change the email address in your
Newsreader whenever you change your email address. Simply add something
to it, than a human can decipher, that will break it on a computer.
Then, you don't get email. Doesn't make it right, but its part of the
web in this day and time.

You said it was illegal in your country, then report it to whatever
agency is responsible for the enforcement of that law. Other than that,
there's not a lot you can do.
