is there a way to disable text field history from poping up when the user
enters a command that is
already in the hitsory cache ?

i know i can turn it off from WinDoze preferences.

can Javascript help?

Default security in javascript does not allow you to control my PC.
Thank God.

Do you always assume your users use Windows? Or is this for a CD or
intranet app?

No.

No. Not in any type of security environment anyway. Maybe in a "please do what
you want with my machine" setting, whereby they were idiotic enough to allow an
ActiveX to run that could modify the registry settings.
