Isotope - Database driven

I'm currently setting up an image gallery using Isotope and it's combination filter:

http://isotope.metafizzy.co/demos/co...n-filters.html

However... this will also be used as an internal resource for the company to find relevant PR imagery from 1000's of photos (not all these images will be public facing).

Is there a way of automating the addition of content to an Isotope gallery via an upload form, and for the settings and information given to that picture i.e. shoe, blue, size 9 being saved to a database for future records if we decide to change systems.

It just seems like a lot of work to add and tag each individual image via the HTML page as it stands. And if you want to change to have to start all over again.

I've searched high and low for a solution like this with no results. Any help or point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
