LiveCycle Javascript - Why: Exception in line 1 of function top_level, script

P: 1

I'm having a devilish time with Javascript in LiveCycle. The latest is something that should be totally simple.

On a multipage form (with many, many fields and text items), I want to code the LastName field in the "Page1" to replicate changes to the LastName field on ("SelectionPage").

I use the following code in the Page1:LastName::change event:
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1.    form1.Page1.LastName::change - (JavaScript, client)
  2.      form1.SelectionPage.LastName.value=this.value;
I made sure to use <Ctl>+<Shift> to insert the SOM of the target LastName field.

When I switch to Preview PDF, and enter a character in the Page1 LastName field, the debugger opens with the following:

Debugger Error:
Exception in line 1 of function top_level, script XFA:form1[0]:Page1[0]:LastName[0]:change

Caption at bottom of Debugger:
Unable to find source for XFA:form1(0):Page1[0]:LastName[0]:change

Anybody have any idea what I'm doing wrong here?

Many thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

It's going to be difficult answering this question unless has some experience with LiveCycle scripting which seems to be different from standard JavaScript.

Try the links in this thread. Alternatively, search for "livecycle" in the search box above for other hints. Hope that helps.
