IBM Sash

I looked at IBM's Sash site (http://sash.alphaworks.ibm.com) and it is looking
really stale and the community section is dead. Does anyone know if IBM pulled
Sash's plug? It was a clever idea, allowing for the embedding of JavaScript
features in containers all over the desktop. It is less interesting if it is no
longer supported.

I do not believe they pulled the plug, there has just been no call to
updated it. SashXB (the Linux version) is pretty quiet too. It all
seems to have come to an end around Apr 2002.

Believe it or not, I saw a job for a Sash developer (!) in the
Research Triangle area about 6 months ago.

I hated the download manager, which tried to silently check for
updates in the background. I played real havoc on my bandwidth when I
was dialing in from a hotel.

The fact that the download service is still up and running probably
indicates that it is still alive in IBM's eyes.
