how to give id in javascript

i would like to give id in javascript.
like <tr id="myId"> </tr>

This is my javascript code

function addRow(tableID) {
 
var table = document.getElementById(tableID);
 
var rowCount = table.rows.length;
var row = table.insertRow(rowCount);
//want to give id 
}
