multiple framset referencing

i ve got this frameset
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. <frameset rows="*" cols="310,*" frameborder="no" border="0" framespacing="0">
  2.   <frame src="input.php" name="leftFrame" scrolling="No" noresize="noresize" id="leftFrame" title="leftFrame" />
  3.   <frameset rows="91,*" cols="*" framespacing="0" frameborder="no" border="0">
  4.     <frame src="../../../Program Files/Macromedia/Dreamweaver 8/UntitledFrame-6" name="topFrame" scrolling="No" noresize="noresize" id="topFrame" title="topFrame" />
  5.     <frame src="output.php" name="content" id="mainFrame" title="" />
  6.   </frameset>
  7. </frameset>
  8.  
and i need to change the location of content from leftframe and am using
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. parent.content.location.href='newpage.html'
  2.  
this has not work and the fact that they re in seperate framesets is causing me a little confussion

You should also look into avoiding frames if possible. You can often use server-side code, or JavaScript to load content in separate container elements.
