accessing iframe of frame of frameset

Hello..i have problem, hope someone can help me..i have this frameset below :

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. <FRAMESET ROWS="55%" COLS="37%,63%">
  2.       <FRAME NAME="runningTrade" SRC="" scrolling="no">
  3.       <FRAMESET ROWS="33%" COLS="51%,49%">
  4.             <FRAMESET ROWS="34%,34%,35%" cols="*">
  5.                 <FRAME NAME="orderBook" SRC="" scrolling="no">
  6.                 <FRAME NAME="orderBook2" SRC="" scrolling="no">
  7.                 <FRAME NAME="OrderBook3" SRC="" scrolling="no">
  8.             </FRAMESET>         
  10.                <FRAMESET ROWS="7%,49%,44%" cols="*">
  11.                   <frame src="" name="ihsg" id="ihsg" title="ihsg" scrolling="no"/>
  12.                   <FRAME NAME="stockSummary" SRC=""  scrolling="no">
  13.                    <FRAME NAME="openOrder" SRC="" scrolling="no"> 
  14.               </FRAMESET>
  15.       </FRAMESET>

And in frame name openOrder i have three page that inserted / opened in iframe, this is the example

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers

  2.     <iframe name="orderingTab" width="100" height="200" scrolling="no" src="">    
  3.     </iframe>
  4. </div>
Say my pointer/action is active in frame stockSummary, and i want to : 1. access or insert value from frame stockSummary to iframe orderingTab of openOrder frame.
2. change the src value of orderingTab(iframe) from frame stockSummary

is there any idea??somebody help me please, tks a lot..

nothing that immediately solves your problem… drop the frames, this will make everything easier.

I know, but it’s the best advice I can give. (you may have noticed that I despise frames…)

If you insist on using frames, use parent.framename to access a frame, though with nested frames, it may be different. To access iframes, it's similar. You can use document.getElementById() or window.frames["iframe-name"]. To access the document within the iframe, use contentWindow.document and contentDocument (for different browsers).
