I am trying to access the opener window from a frame window.
This is my code.....
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. if(window.parent.opener.closed) .......
  2.
It's working fine in IE ..i can able to track whether the opener window gets closed or not...
But in Mozilla before getting closed i can able to access the window.parent.opener ... but after close i can't able to access this ... it says it has no properties...
How can track it... in Mozilla?

First check if the opener reference still exists:
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. if (window.parent.opener && window.parent.opener.closed) ...

try window.opener instead of window.parent.opener

If this is within a frame, window.parent would refer to the parent or you could use top from which you can access the opener, so in this case, window.parent.opener would be correct.
