Dynamic content displays incorrectly in an IFRAME

P: 3
Hi,

I'm developing a site that displays content from other sites in an IFRAME. Normally there's no problem, and the IFRAME faithfully reproduces what you would see if the content were in a parent frame.

However, when the content includes Javascript HREFs, the display in the IFRAME gets garbled. As mentioned above, there's nothing I can do about the content because it comes from other sites; but is there a workaround that can be performed on the IFRAME end?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Can you give an example of content that gets garbled?

In the page in question, the Javascript HREFs control a dynamic sliding menu. What happens in the IFRAME is that the menu displays statically, forcing itself into the content - and thus creating a gap between the content above and below.

Thanks again in advance...

Yes, but I wanted to see an example of code, or possibly a link which demonstrates the problem.

My apologies for the delay - below is a segment of the code that displays statically in the IFRAME (notice the funny Javascript HREFs). Thanks again!

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. <UL id=menu>
  2. <LI class=mainlevel>
  3. <DIV class=mainlevelbox>
  4.        <A class=item1 id=mainlevel href="javascript: ;">About</A>
  5. <DIV class=underline></DIV></DIV>
  6. <LI class=mainlevel>
  7. <DIV class=mainlevelbox>
  8.         <A class=item1 id=mainlevel href="javascript: ;">Product Line</A>
  9. <DIV class=underline></DIV></DIV>
  10. <LI class=mainlevel>
  11. <DIV class=mainlevelbox>
  12.         <A class=item1 id=mainlevel href="javascript: ;">Contact us</A>
  13. <DIV class=underline></DIV></DIV>
  14.

Those hrefs are not going to be much use. What's the original setting in the link hrefs?
