I have been trying for examples but I have no clue how o proceed with it.Even I couldnt get proper examples.Can you kiindly give me the guidance of how to begin this task.

By a paginated combo box, do you mean that the data is shown in "pages"? Another option selected from the drop-down would result in the corresponding page being shown?

If so, what you need to do is get the server-side page working first (if you don't already). This page should take the passed parameter and return the relevant "page" of data. On the client-side, an onchange on the select drop down should trigger an Ajax request to this server-side page.

Ya thats fine but how can I include the control.Please suggest.I mean GUI part how can I show that combobox

well these aren't exactly pages, but you could use optgroup tags .

the browser controls the height of a dropped select, so you can't really paginate a dropdown easily.

if you set a fixed size on the select, you could stuff a number of options equal to that size in each optgroup, and that would be somewhat like pages...
