form field limits

P: n/a
Is there a limit to how much text can be put into a form field such as a
textarea? If there is is there a way to know when its been reached
(without testing for new text being added)?

No. The only limit is the available memory on the machine.

With form's method="POST" there is NO explicit limit on the size of
posted data, there may be some limit on the server side though...
