Hi guys,
I am writing a web application and one of things I'd like to be able to do using Javascript and AJAX is give people the ability to create their own custom reports. My target browser is IE 6 and 7.
The way I'd envisioned it is, the relevant tables would be on the screen, in the form of boxes with each field in the table. They simply check the boxes next to the field they want in the report and they can move the fields around in any order and lay out the report on the screen in real time.
My question is, is this even possible or is that too complex of a thing to do? And if it is possible, anyone seen anything like this before that I can use as an example or maybe point me in the right direction or how to do this?
