how ca Launch a application use javascript from apache

Hi everyone!

I need help for my web application
I need make a button for launch a (window) application, autoroot, use javascript .

I have the folling code

function launch(name, date)
{
  var myLauncher = new ActiveXObject('HyperLinkLauncher.Launcher');
 myLauncher.Run('C:\\Windows\\notepad.exe', date);
}

but when i use apache for see my application, that code don't worked :(

So this works in IIS and not when served by Apache?

Hi

No this works without web server. and it don't works when served by Apache.
If I open the page with a simple double click it works. But when served by Apache this not works (?).

I don't use IIS for this project.

I use IE 7 for browser.

It might have something to do with the fact that you're using ActiveX, so the permissions are not set correctly for it to run. When served by Apache, I don't think it'll be from the trusted zone.

If you add the site to the trusted zone, you may get it to work. Then again, it may not. I don't work with ActiveX. Good luck!
