IE onchange bug with History

P: 2

I am trying to fire an onchange event on a text input control in my page. I am using IE 6 and when I type over the value that is there, the event seems to work fine. However, if I type one or two letters and the browser-controlled history list appears and I select an option out of there, the onchange is not fired. Is this a bug in IE or am I missing something?

Welcome to TSDN!

Unfortunately, this is another IE bug or, at least wrong behaviour.

I'm not sure of a solution except perhaps to turn autocomplete off.
