Hi, I have been working on a drop down menu for the members of my site, and it seems to be working ok in my browser (IE 6.0). But it completely messes up in IE 7 and firefox seems to be having problems too. I won't post any code just yet, as I don't know what you guys want to see. So i'll wait and see if someone is familiar with this problem first.
But I can say that it is made via DIV and UL 's / LI 's.

I hope someone can help me.. Have no idea what to do here.

hi ...

welcome to TSDN ...

checked the link on a mac with safari and FF 2.0.0.11 ... besides a little 'repositioning' while hovering the drop-down-menu i couldn't see a problem ... could you describe a little bit more for what we have to look for?

kind regards

Validate your html for that list of errors. You are missing proper end tags and some others.

Do not reference IE6. If it doesn't work in IE7 and Firefox then something is wrong with the code.

In IE, 'hover' does not work on any element except <a> . Only modern browsers like Firefox work correctly.

For some reason, the validator cannot read your css.

Why are you using tables for this?

Ok thanks, I will try validating, and come back again.. I don't understand, however, why it works in IE 6..

Regarding the css, what can I do to validate it?

Ok, so I have validated the whole site and corrected every error there was, and the problem still remains.. in IE 7 the drop menu collapses on hover, while in IE 6 it remains steady..

The reason why I use tables in the drop menu, by the way, is that if didn't put the menu items in different cells, they would come out vertical instead of horizontal.. :(
