Hi!
I'm trying to think of a way to do something that seems like it should be
simple. Javascript struck me as the most likely way to do it but I'm open to
other approaches if someone can think of one....
I am building a website for a client and he wants to help me choose a colour
scheme he likes. He wants me to show him 8 or 10 different schemes and he
thinks he will find at least one of those acceptable.
I would like to be able to have him go to the website, which is currently
under construction, and have a drop down box from which he can choose any of
the 10 colour schemes that I am going to create. Then, depending on which
option he chooses from the drop down, I will invoke a different CSS that
will draw the pages using that colour scheme.
I'm just not sure of the best way to do this. I can create the colour
schemes and style sheets easily enough. I'm just not sure how to redraw the
page so that it uses the CSS that is appropriate for what he has chosen from
the drop down.
I think the logical place to put the drop down is at the top of the index,
which runs down the left hand side of the page. I suppose that means I need
to create a small form with the drop down and a submit button on it and put
that form in the index. (Or maybe I should just have the drop down and as
soon as he selects anything from it, redraw the page using the appropriate
CSS). But where would I put the code that redraws the page? And how would
that code look?
Can anyone point me to examples that are reasonably similar to what I want
to do?
