Creating a list of users

P: 10
Hi Everyone,

I am just in need of some advice. I need create some sort of place in my page which will store a list of users which are currently logged in.

Perhaps some sort of text box (a div element?), which reads from some place to get each users username, and then display each username in a list.

Can anyone give me a starting point?

You will need server-side code to get the list of users currently logged in.

Use ajax to load data of users from server-side.

Yep, that's the plan.
I'm just talking about the container. What is best to use? A list? a div?

hi ...

i think that depends on your design-needs ... the div-solution gives you more possibilities then a form-control would allow ...

kind regards

Up to you.

You can have a list within a div element if you want, e.g.
<div id="userlist">
<ul>
<li>...</li>
</ul>
</div>
Edit: By list, did you mean a select dropdown?
