Closing multiple child windows without an array

Okay...here goes.

I am building an application that loads one of 4 different, external sites into an iframe. Any of these sites can generate their own popup windows. As they are under the control of 3rd party developers I cannot go in and alter how their sites open popups.

Is there a way to make my site close ALL the child windows generated by the other sites in the iframe when it refreshes?

I've been scouring the web for hours and most postings assume you are opening the windows yourself.

To have any client script control of the documents in your iframe you need to re-serve them from your own domain. That is kind of the point of all of javascript's security.
