Open a file without asking prompt

Hi,

I want to open a file from javascript with the code,
window.open("file://///xxxxxxxx/xxxx/xx/freedom.exe"). It is opening preperly. But asking the prompt for open,save and cancel. I want to run the file without the prompt. Please help me.

Well, imagine if that were possible!

It's an executable, so you're going to get a prompt.

You could set your browser to the lowest security setting (not a good idea) or allow it to run any script without prompting, but I'm not sure if it would run the exe file without prompting.

I hope this is for your own use or for an intranet.

Heya, samy.

Would you really want any web page to be able to launch an executable file on your hard drive without asking your permissions?
