Have a look at this code.

if(typeof window.attachEventListner) window.attachEventListner("keypress",reset_func,true);
else
window.addEventListner("onkeypress",reset_func);

Changed thread title to better describe the problem (did you know that threads whose titles do not follow the Posting Guidelines actually get FEWER responses?).

I would caution you about doing this because Escape is also used for actions such as canceling the browser's auto-complete suggestions, stopping a page from loading, etc.

The surest way to make your Users leave your site is to make it behave in ways they are not expecting it to.
