Javascript - eval function

The code below seems to work on other people's computer but not mine. I recently had to re-install my OS, so I might be missing something. Any ideas?

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers

 
<html>
 
hello
 
<script>
 
function foo()

{

    eval("return false")

}
 
foo();
 
alert("after foo")
 
</script>
 
</html>

I get "return statement outside of function". The error is caused by the eval statement.

Try removing the (unnecessary) eval() statement altogether:

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers

 
function foo()

{

    return false;

}
