IE Verses FireFox drop down refresh prblem

I do not want my page to refresh when selecting a drop down menu choice.
It works fine in FireFox but in IE the page refreshes each time. Is there any known issues with this?

This is using Ajax extention - ASP.

Thank you

Use code tags, as described on the right hand side of the page when posting. You will have to cut and paste the code, no automatic way to post the code.

Use code tags like this:

[CODE=javascript]
Put your JavaScript code here...
