disabling menubars/toolbars without window.open()?

Hi all,

Sorry if this has been covered before, but is there anyway that one
could remove menubars/toolbars from an existing browser window,
without having to popup a new window using window.open(), and
supplying the feature string?

Thanks for any input/replies!

No, and you aren't even assured you can remove them with window.open()
Thanks for any input/replies!
Input: Design your site so that the menubars/toolbars don't matter and
it becomes a moot point.

Thankfully I believe the answer is no.

Suppose you could do this and you removed my toolbars which I
specifically configured to have visible. How do you think I would
feel? Likely confused and then irritated. It goes right up there with
resizing my window, background music, and <blink>.
