I'm not sure about books, but there are plenty of online resources. See the Offsite Links thread for some tutorial links.

Gud Idea to learn AJAX.
But remember one thing Sindhu that for learning AJAX you have to know the JavaScript and XML good.
I hope you know it very well.
Without knowing these things learning AJAX ll be result less.
Making a call to AJAX is simple but then update the page with XML elements that's is the magic of JavaScript.

Anyway best of luck with your AJAX learning.

Kind regards,
Dmjpro.

hi ...

the best book i ever read about ajax was:

Professional Ajax, 2nd Edition (Programmer to Programmer) by Nicholas C. Zakas, Jeremy McPeak, and Joe Fawcett (Wrox, Paperback - Mar 12, 2007)

it covers a lot of useful information ... but be aware: the wrox programmer to programmer series contains a lot of advanced material and you should have a basic knowledge of the things before reading such a book ... so i recommend to read it after some online-tutorials :)

kind regards
