Some simple help please.

I'm not a coder, and this is the only suggestion I've had for a forum
to help me. I'm having a problem with java on my browsers...mainly
IE, but Netscape, Firefox and to a lesser degree Opera. Any java is
very slow to download, and will usually, but not always, lock up the
browser. I run anti-virus and spyware detector programs daily...so I
don't think that's it. This just happened about three weeks ago. I
have downloaded the current java programs which hasn't helped.

Any suggestions?

This is a Javascript group. I just checked and there doesn't seem to be
a comp.lang.java group which surprised me. I did a google with the
keywords java and forum though and there were a lot of forums showed up.

Wrong NG,

Javascript is not the script version of Java.

Or wrong question text perhaps?

What neither of you "comprehended" is that there *IS* a Java group.
Several in fact:
