Gridview in UpdatePanel will not work?

1
I have put a (working) gridview inside an Ajax Updatepanel which is causing a problem. When I click the edit button the gridview goes into edit mode and when i click cancel it comes out of edit mode. However, if i click the update button, nothing happens.
If I take the table outside the update panel the update button works.

Do I have to set anything when it is inside the update panel to make the update method of the gridview functional?

Thanks

Hello, this happened to me just today, it is caused by a known issue with de asp 2.0 gridview control and anly happens when you have the command field like an image.

All you have to do to solve it is to set the property CausesValidation = "false" in your commandfield.

hope this helps ^_^

Note: it doesnt happen with a text command
