I have faced a problem today.
I got a code but i didn't understand.
Please clarify me this code.
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. location.replace('{!s:showPage!}logins/std/login.html')
  2.
What is the significance of code within braces.
Please explain.

Kind regards,
Dmjpro.

I don't know what the braces and exclamation marks are, they look like delimiters so I don't know if it's some syntax picked up by another scripting language.

However, the replace function in javascript takes two arguments, the string to find and the string to replace it with, the code provided only has one argument so I don't think that the code would actually do anything.

presumably, location is the window.location object, which has its own replace method. The string '{!s:showPage!}logins/std/login.html' is supposed to be an url, which becomes the current location and replaces the previous url in the history list.

As written, if it looks like it won't do anything- but watch the address bar anyway.
