each time thru a loop - i'd like to update a page
element (i.e. a progress bar).
but it doesn't seem to happen - because i think
pages are not updated until javascript is done
will all execution.
so i think setTimeout or setInternal might be
the answer.
still not been able to figure it out - help!
IIRC, using another browser may help.
But the general method is to write a function that executes some loops,
updates the screen, calls setTimeout with a small interval to restart
itself, and finishes; and also finishes when the job is finished.
That's essentially the same as a countdown, except that controlling the
work is a little harder.
<FAQENTRYI don't see that in the FAQ yet, but I know it's been asked
before. The FAQ does, however, link to a site that mentions the matter.
