How do I go 'Back' a page (to showDetails3.htm)? using Javascript

I'm using the following:

<a href="#" onclick="showDetails3.htm"(-1);return false;">BACK</a>

The error I get is 'undefined showDetails3'.

What I'm I doing wrong.

Will BACK (if the user clicked the Back button on the browser) always be showDetails3.htm? If so, you can use history.back().
