Refresh a module in a HTML page using javascript without page refresh

hi all
can anyone answer this ??
i have developed a module which displays cricket score card and this is one of the part in a HTML page along with other modules. now this module alone must be refreshed at regular intervals without refreshing the page. this has to implemented using javascript
can anyone help me out ??

welcome to TSDN ...

for your purpose you may consider to use ajax ... that makes an (asyncronous) XMLHttpRequest in the background and when you get your response you may adapt the part of your page that you want to. for an overview you may have a look through the ajax-links that you find in the Offsite Links and come back in case you have more questions with it.
