Window events handling

Dear all,
I'm new to this forum.I need help on handling different child windows of the parent window.I've opened some child windows with "window.open" command.Will this work in all browsers?

One important issue is that I dont wnat to open a new widnow if it is already opened and minimized. How can I handle this situtaion ? Is there any command to restore the minimized window?

Any help is more appreciable....
Thanks in advance,
Prasanth

Keep a handle for the new window and use that, e.g.
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. var newWin = window.open(...);
and newWin.focus() should give focus to the child window.
