continue html after a javascript check

I am a casual javascript user.

I have a form that ask the visitor to select one option from about 250 radio boxes and then enter his or her details (name and address).

To avoid the frustration of having to reenter the details because one of those radio boxes has not been selected, I make a javascript check that one radio box has been selected before the visitor start entering the details.

My question is: how can I make this javascript continue with the html code rather than submitting something after a successful check?

I am trying to make it all one form only.

Thank you for your help

hi ...

you may put all html that has to be shown into a 'hidden' div, that is shown after successful validation ... you may use:

div_element_ref.style.display = 'none' or 'block'

for that purpose, or you may removeChild(), appendChild() it ... its up to you what you prefer ... dom-scripting (the way i would prefer) or setting the style of nodes ...

kind regards ...

I'd really suggest that you turn the list of radio buttons into a dropdown selection box. Radio buttons are intended for short, simply answers like "yes/no" and "male/female." All HTML elements have their own unique purpose.
