Pop-up with check boxes

P: 8
Hi
Does anyone have any ideas on this; When someone presses a button, a pop-up with several checkboxes appears. The checkboxes must be stored in variables. Can this be done or is there anything like it I can use?
Thanks

see the pop up can be a separate window or a simple div
when it's a window u don't need to make any variable using javascript,
just place all the check boxes in the new window

if it's the div then you can eithet pr-fetch the whole contents of pop-up and make a string like

var arg = '<input type=chekbox>foo1<br><input type=chekbox>foo2<br><input type=chekbox>foo3<br>'

and using .innerHTML you can fill the div

else you can use ajax to fill the pop up dynamically
http://www.w3schools.com/ajax/default.asp

hope this help
