Passing data from javascript to AJAX

Hi! I am new in AJAX. I have created a dynamic table using javascript and I would like to pass the data inside the table to store in Access database where the database will be in a server. I know in order to do this I need a server side scripting language such as AJAX but I am not sure how it works and how to pass data from 2 different language? Anyone can help me? Thanks in advance.

see ajax is not a server side language
It's just an extension to javascript
you will indeed need a server side language like php, asp etc
to pass the values from client to server

please go through a good tutorial which will make your concept clear about how things work
