javascript error

Hi,
i have a javascript syntax error with my page. i don't have that much cods. that is only in IE.
This is my code. i don't know where is the error

<% if(softwareList != null && softwareList.size() > 0) { %>
<script language="javascript">
<!-- document.write(data[page]); //-->
</script>
