Populating dropdownlist from database

Hey can someone assist me to dynamically populate a dropdownlist when i make a particular selection. I want to fetch data into dropdown from database. I am using ASP .net 2005.

see i am not very much into AJAX and i am just looking for something from wher i can start of creating such AJAX based application.

Just go through a basic Ajax tutorial then. All you need to do is call a server side script that connects to the database and return the value to a Javascript function that creates the options.
