handling cross domain requests in javascript/ajax

Hi,
I am having some problems with handling cross domain requests in javascript/ajax and would really appreciate any help.

My client has a javascript file which he includes in his HTML page. The javascript file pulls a RSS feed from a remote server, parses the contents and displays the contents into the HTML page. However since the client JS file and the XML file in the remote server are in different domains, the Get request does not work in some browsers.
How do I handle this?
Thanks

Create a page on your server that loads and outputs the target page (in PHP, you'd use readfile), then load that page using your AJAX call.
