[solved] Ajax script help

Hi I have a problem with an auto fill form script that is on dhtmlgoodies, I wish to fill out a form that is produced using a PHP array.

My form input boxes, are named hole[1], hole[2] etc

Within the PHP side of the script I have the following line:

[PHP] echo "formObj.hole[1].value = '".$inf["hole1"]."';\n"; [/PHP]

but when I then complete the designated field to start the auto fill I recieved the following error message

formObj.hole.1is null or not an object.

can anyone help please?

if I change the formObj to a field such as "name" everything works fine.

All just to let you know that I have solved the problem I amended the above code to:

formObj.elements['hole[1]'].value
